No. ComplianceGuard is an automated scanning tool that identifies potential compliance issues. Our results are not legal advice and should not be treated as such. For formal guidance, consult a qualified data protection officer or EU-specialised lawyer.
Our deterministic checks (pre-consent tracking, timer reset detection, missing 30-day price, VAT-inclusive disclosure, withdrawal-right presence in T&Cs) are near 100% accurate because they're based on measurable, observable facts. A reconciler drops any AI-flagged "violation" that contradicts what our code measured, so the two layers can't disagree in the report. AI-assisted checks (image analysis, AI-generated copy) include a confidence rating and are flagged for human review.
ComplianceGuard checks your site in 15 official EU languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Czech, Greek, Romanian, and Hungarian. That covers ~95% of EU e-commerce GDP. Your privacy policy and T&Cs are scanned in their native language, so we don't penalise a German merchant for not writing English.
Because false positives destroy trust. Our scanner only flags items where: (a) a real EU regulator has issued fines or formal enforcement actions in 2023–2025 for that exact issue, AND (b) we have measurable evidence on your page. If we can't prove a violation, we mark it inconclusive with an explicit reason. We never silently pass and never guess.
ComplianceGuard scans any publicly accessible webpage regardless of platform. We have enhanced detection for Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, and Magento. If your site loads in a browser, we can scan it.
Some sites are protected by bot-detection software (Cloudflare, Akamai, etc.) that blocks automated browsers. If this happens, we'll let you know immediately rather than reporting false violations. Contact support for a manual review option.
Yes. Pro, Growth, and Agency are monthly subscriptions with no lock-in. Cancel from your account billing portal at any time. Your scan quota resets on the 1st of each calendar month. Annual plans are non-refundable after 14 days.
We store the scan results (violation findings, score, screenshots) in your account so you can track progress over time. We don't store raw HTML or personally identifiable visitor data from your site. Our sub-processors and data flow are documented in our Privacy Policy.
